Green Creed

Welcome to My Green Space!
I’m Johnny Osmosus, your personal guide to all things Osmosus.
Before we get to my personal Green Creed, I thought I'd help you get started with your own Green Space!
Your Green Space is like your personal website on Osmosus. It's where you can express yourself to the world and connect with other Osmosans
Navigate your Green Space
Not sure where to start? Take a moment to look at the Green Space tabs below my silhouette profile picture.

The tabs tell you what part of your profile you're looking at.
As you can see, this section of My Green Space is the PROFILE section. So let's start here!
Editing Your Profile:
There are three sections of your Profile:
1-Green Creed
Share your thoughts, philosophies and goals for sustainable living
2-Bio
All about you!
3-Interests
Passionate about urban farming, bio-diesel and schnauzers? Add your interests here.
You can edit these three elements of your Profile right here under the Profile tab.
Or, to change your photo, add a headline or edit your personal info, go to the menu on the right side of your screen and click: Edit My Profile.

Check Your Personal Dashboard
Your personal Dashboard appears in the upper right-hand corner of your Profile bar.

The Dashboard helps you tell at a glance if there has been any activity in your Green Space. You can see right away if you have a new Talk To Me message, a comment on one of your Events or if you have a new Connector. When you run your mouse over each icon in the Dashboard, a handy tooltip pops up to help you remember what each icon means.
When you look at someone else's profile, their Dashboard tells you if they've posted something new in their Green Space, so you can keep up on their latest events and G-LOGs.
Social Energy Grid
Your Social Energy Grid is where you monitor your Connectors and Connections on Osmosus. You can see at a glance on the individual dashboards your Grids activity on Osmosus.

Your Social Energy Grid is comprised of Connectors and Connections
Connectors & Connections

Connectors:

Social Energy Grid Members Dashboard

- New Event comments
- New Connectors
- New Connections
- New Carbon Footprint displayed
Talk To Me
Use Talk to Me to send one-on-one or group messages to other Osmosans. With Talk to Me, you can send event updates, questions, compliments ("love the new profile pic, JohnnyO!") or kudos to anyone on Osmosus! Your messages are posted on their Talk to Me page.

To send a Talk to Me message to another Osmosan, go to their profile and click on the "Talk to Me" tab.
Type your message and hit the "Talk to Me" button at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. If you want your message to be private, make sure you check off the "Private" option before you send your note!
If you want to send a message to your whole Social Energy Grid, go to your own profile and click on the "Talk to Me" tab. There you can send a note to all of your connectors at once by checking off the "Send to my connectors" box.

Take a moment to look at the header bar. Every header bar in Osmosus helps to tell you where you are and what you're looking at. You'll see this whole section of My Green Space is the Green Creed section.

Bio

Hi! I’m Johnny Osmosus, your personal guide to all things Osmosus. Check out My Green Space and let's get started!
This is the Bio section in your Profile. It's a place to tell everything and anything you want people to know about you - where you're from, what you do, who you are. Write a couple of lines or a whole page - it's up to you! And you can edit it whenever you want.
Here's my Bio
I am Johnny O, a citizen of the world. I am connected to my family, my home and my planet.
I was born and went to school and now I have this cool job helping people on Osmosus!
Lately, I have become keenly aware of the impact that my actions have on the environment. I'm striving to reduce that impact where and when possible. Now, I’m not a fanatic, but I have become passionate about the issues! Discussion and sharing information is important to me. I know I can learn from others and perhaps by sharing my experiences, others can learn from me.
Hey, I like to have fun too! We can care about the environment and have good times too! I enjoy movies, music, traveling and more recently gardening, or rather urban farming, though in a very modest way. It’s amazing to me that food comes up out of the dirt! There’s something about eating food that you’ve grown yourself that makes it that much more delicious!
